I liked the location this hotel was in, the rooms were fantastic. Breakfast is simple but still ok. A very clean and comfortable hotel and when we return to Jogja we will back just because it lived up to what it suppose to be.
I think the front office staff should learn a little bit more english, luckily I speak Bahasa Indonesia but my wife and friend do not, so that would be a great help for others who stay there.

Staffs are friendly, and easy to approach. They attend to your request very fast. The cleanliness and service were good. And most importantly - cheap !!!
Quite a lot of mosquitos, but I guess this is the problem of the city itself, not so much with the hotel.

very friendly staff, value for money, high speed internet was working well and it is free of charge, liked the 24 hour security service
the staff should improve their english, while it was realy hard to communicate with them. it is near to Malioboro, but distance from the good restaurant street Prawirotaman. (anyway you can go there by taxi or becak) the breakfast is poor, nothing for eorpoean taste. for locals it seemed to be ok.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Had free WIFI which was useful. Location was good, being a 10-minute walk to the palace. Restaurant served tasty Indonesian food at reasonable prices.
Room had mosquitoes but the staff was quick to lend us an insect spray.

Clean. Value for money. Wifi. Charming restaurant next door
I'm an indonesian. Female solo traveller. Travels to yogyakarta for work. Perhaps it's unusual for indonesian women to travel alone. I booked 2 nights at this hotel. Checked out early after 1 night. First night, I ate at the restaurant. Chatted with one of the staff. He offered to check my 'hot water' in my room. I said no. He insisted. I said no a few times until I couldn't say no anymore (there are subtleties in the culture that would be considered impolite). He offered me to come up to my room (2nd floor) and he insisted me to go up first. He didn't go up right away, waited for me until I was high enough, and he peeked through my skirt. I reported this to the management the next day. And the hotel management apologized. They still charged me 50% cancellation for the second night that I didn't use because I checked out after one night. The lady who took my complain gave me some hotel vouchers (their hotel). Perhaps that was the best she could do after millions of sincere apologies. She was embarassed enough after all this, so I only said, "I will give these to my male traveller friends..."
Tourists from India often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
